World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated every year on 5th of June to raise global awareness of the need to take positive environmental action. But, with the school reopening last week, we were unable to celebrate this day as all our students were busy adjusting to their new school routine, environment and friends. Hence, we had the Environment Day celebrations on June 15th 2012 (Friday).
Our students were enlightened on importance of keeping the environment clean and the methods by which we can save energy and our environment. Our students participated whole heartedly in many activities & games through which few important messages related to the environment were conveyed such as
=> Keep your neighborhood clean and always throw thrash in the dustbin
=> Recycle cans, papers, bottles and similar wastes Plant more trees in your neighborhood
=> Save paper by writing on both sides of paper both at home and school
=> Don’t leave the water running while brushing your teeth
=> Turn off lights when you leave your room and always turn off television after watching it
